6 Cool Rooftop Event Spaces in Jakarta

Read in Bahasa

Looking to throw a memorable event with some fresh air and a relaxing view? While cities generally offer little choice in terms of large open spaces, rooftop venues provide an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of the city below. Providing artisan cocktails, delicious food, and an instagram worthy backdrop, these venues will help you add that sought after “wow” factor to your next event.

To help you find that perfect space, we’ve compiled a quick list of some of the coolest rooftop event venues in Jakarta that will surely be a hit even for the fanciest corporate events.

SHY Rooftop

On the 5th floor of the Papilion building in Kemang sits SHY Rooftop, a space with a not-so-shy atmosphere. Designed with whitewashed panels and candle-lit lanterns, this cozy terrace is sure to offer a great night of live entertainment (we hear some of the best local artists frequently play here) or even play host to your next thematic private dinner event.

Hause Rooftop

Located on the 6th floor of the MD Building in Kuningan area, Hause Rooftop is the perfect reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the city below. With a breezy outdoor area surrounded by greenery and quirky little knick knacks, Hause creates a uniquely homey atmosphere perfect for casual events. Plus, they serve relatively healthy food using fresh herbs that they have grown themselves. We hear the Barbeque Chicken Pizza is a must try!

BART at Artotel

Nestled on the 7th floor of Artotel Thamrin Jakarta in Menteng, BART (an acronym for Bar at the Rooftop, very meta) boasts a classic monochromatic theme serving Asian-Western fusion finger foods that won’t break the bank. We hear their drinks, despite fun names like Bye-Gone or Jumping Monkey, pack quite a punch.

Awan Lounge

Placed on the 8th floor of the Kosenda Hotel, one of Jakarta’s architectural landmarks, the garden-like Awan Lounge delivers a laid back environment with amazing cityscape views. Watch the day turn into night with one of their signature cocktails, such as the Awan Waterfall, and a plate of Asian-influenced tapas.

La ‘Vue

Looking for a cozy place to hangout with your friends with stellar views? We suggest you check out La ‘Vue. Perched on the 9th floor of The Hermitage Hotel in Menteng, its whitewashed wooden floors, greenery, and colourful accents, create a relaxed atmosphere where you can just linger with some cocktails and small bites. Bonus: being one of the few spots with 360 degree views, we’re sure the sunsets would be unforgettable.

Henshin at The Westin

jakarta-rooftop-7 (Henshin rooftop)

Enjoy a glamorous night out with some of the best views Jakarta has to offer at this multi-level food and drink spot. Housed on the 67th to 69th floors of The Westin in Kuningan, Henshin is the highest spot on our list. Colourful tiles and an open-kitchen concept create a lively ambience that’s perfectly complemented by the Nikkei-inspired food and cocktail selections.

So if you’re looking to throw a unique event in Jakarta with some awe-inspiring views, or want to make a client meeting feel more exclusive, why not try one of these rooftop spots.
